OK I'm stumped.
I am not able to avoid a "Reseat Pen" error on my Designjet 650C
Plotter. Originally this error constantly occurred in the YELLOW pen
slot regardless which color pen was inserted there. Suspecting a
printed circuit problem, I removed the Pen Carriage Assembly and
carefully examined all the circuits emanating from the yellow pen
slot. I found no problems so I concluded that I needed to replace
the Pen Carriage Assembly.
I then installed a reconditioned Assembly purchased from sonicsounds
and find that I continue to have a "Reseat Pen" error but now it
occurs in the CYAN pen slot. I am perplexed that this problem is not
solved. It seems that both assemblies are not working but before
returning the newer assembly want to check with the group.
Questions:
Has anyone else had this type of problem?
Should I try a third assembly or is the problem "upstream" from where
I am looking?
Should I look elsewhere for the problem?
What am I overlooking?

Thanks for listening.
