I have run into a consistent problem with printing long stitched
panoramas on a DJ130. I have several panos that I print 24"x96" where
the printer consistently drops (perhaps skips might be a better
description) approximately one inch segments, without any gaps or
color loss, then continues on printing a melange of mixed-up segments
of the print until it finishes. On some prints, I can cut off the
offending last foot or so, and present the work as a 2x7 panorama, but
on some panos where key elements need to be positioned properly from
the end of the print I have to throw the print away, turn it upside
down and print it "backwards" so the space is consistent.
I always print through Qimage, and have tried reducing the original
file size to JPEG from PSD, connected the printer directly to the
computer via USB, but the problem still persists. I want the best out
of these prints so I always print in BEST mode with MAX DETAIL, which
works well for the first 7 feet.
Sounds to me like a spooling issue where "something" needs more memory
but I have no idea how to begin to troubleshoot this without running
through a whole lot of paper and ink. My PC has 4GB of memory and
that shouldn't be an issue if the spooler can access it.
I have searched this group for any reference to a similar issue, but
haven't found anything resembling this problem. Has anyone had a
similar problem.....and solved it???

Thanks for your input in advance,
