Have you tried printing from software other than QImage? You can tape together pieces of the thrown out prints to simulate a full pano for troubleshooting. Normally if it's a spooling issue on a Windows system you'd get an entire bottom part of the print skipped, not the type of random skipping as you've described.
Sounds like a QImage bug to me. Are you relying on QImage to scale your output? If so you may want to finalize it in PS first then print at 100% from QImage. Also the spooler uses your hard disk space, memory is usually not the problem.
