HP wants you to buy 6 sperate printheads. over $250 keyed to each different color socket but the printheadSall have the same electrical contacts and the same nozzle cluster.
If you look near the ink spike on each printhead you will notice that there are a series of tabs AROUND THE DIAMETER TO THE SPIKE THIS WILL FORCE YOU TO USE A YELLOW PRINTHEAD IN A YELLOW SLOT. I think if you cut off all these tabs than the PRINTHEAD WILL FIT in any slot...you will have to purge out and fill the right ink but this is easy. I just want to know if anyone else has tried this?
