10 megapixels, wow! I scan 4x5 film at 85 megpixels(2,200 dpi), 250 meg size file. This gives a print that far exceeds the sharpness of an optical print at 24x30 inches.
I'm a sharpness nut and can not tolerate any print that is not razor sharp. Thus the move to 4x5 film. BTW- I will be a Beta Tester for new 120 size film with resolution of 900lp/mm at 1,000-to-1 contrast. 340 lp/mm at 16:1. The laws of optics do not allow the manufacture of a lens that can resolve 900 lp/mm. The best lens I own can resolve 156 lp/mm at f5.6 on this film. Any one interested in a B&W film that is this sharp, let me know and I will keep you updated.
