Thats exactly what these companies need to understand, I wish everyone
followed suit. Why would I stay with a company that just wants to
frustrate and limit the use of a decent product. It is such a big turn
off for techs to see HP do such a thing. I have not experienced this
as I run it on a XP and 2000, but I would want to know that it will
run on my MAc systems if I needed it to at some point. And the funny
thing is, that it is not like they are trying to direct the
MASSES...people using these are a bit more involved technically, and
have a say and choice, and know what the options are. They come out
with a nice printer line, the Z series...Let people switch to that
when they can, want, need. Frustrates me to hear this. I kinda know
where you are coming from, when I bought my 130, I was with tech as
they tried to put all my print heads at fault for some printing
problems. they suggested I buy all new heads. Then they realized my
heads were under warranty and went ahead and helped me with the
problem in order not to send me new heads. Looks like they have a
protocal to avoid any possible help when they can have you buy new
product.
