Toasterboy thank you sooooooooo much the problem was the paper size was 
not exactly 17" but was 16.5" and the line reader was misreading the 
paper size.  I put the exact size in the driver and now its printing 
like a charm.  Thank you so much my boss is happy and HP should be a 
shame they couldn't have suggested that as easily as you did.  Thank 
you for your help I am forever thankful.
