Dear users,
I am using a DeskJet 130 to print poster sized A1 prints of TIFF photo files
straight from
CS3 onto HP Universal High Gloss Photo paper (Q1426A) on a roll.
The problem is that blacks turn out a brownish color – I am pretty sure it is
combining the
other colors to make black and not using the black cartridge at all, judging by
the low rate
of black ink consumption.
Can you spot what I am doing wrong here?
These are the settings I am using in the following dialogue boxes:

PAGE SETUP:
DJ130
Paper size D/A1 ArchD on the roll
Match print colors (box checked)

PRINT:
Color Management Dialogue box:
Document (Profile AdobeRGB (1998)) (Button checked)
Color handling: Photoshop manages colors
Printer profile: HP DJ 30.90/130 – Photo Gloss drv.
Rendering Intent: Relative colorimetric.
Black point Compensation (box checked)

2nd PRINT DIALOGUE BOX
Paper Type: Photo paper- Photo Gloss.
Quality: Best
Color: Application Managed Colors
Source: Roll

Max Detail (box checked)

Any suggestions gratefully received!

John Sibley
