Well, in a roundabout way I did confirm that scanning over the network is possible. I configured hplip and the printer on a Fedora Core system. In Fedora Core 5 the scanning is working over the network. On the Fedora Core system I get [EMAIL PROTECTED] sane.d]$ scanimage -L device `hpaio:/net/psc_2500_series?ip=192.168.0.10' is a hp psc_2500_series multi-function peripheral device `hpaio:/net/psc_2500_series?ip=192.168.0.10' is a hp psc_2500_series multi-function peripheral But, on my RHELv4 system I get only [EMAIL PROTECTED] sane.d]$ scanimage -L device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname BT878 video (Prolink Pixelview virtual device Hummmmmm...... I think it is customary to have the list configured so replies go to the list and not the originator. -- Is knowledge knowable?
