You could try entering the device uri manually using the CUPS web interface. To create the uri just use one of the others as an example and change it to fit the printer.

I just updated to cups 1.2.1

Both of the problems still exist.
  1.  hp-makeuri problem
  2.  printing problem

As for the snmp issue all the other printer report correctly to snmpwalk

It seems to me that the snmp problem is from the printer side and not
from my pc. Is there a workaround to fix the problem?
