Thanks, I could install the priter again using "hp-setup -a", but I still have the problem that printing from Kwrite, Kedit, Kpdf, etc.. I get this error:
An error occurred while retrieving the printer list: Connection to CUPS server failed. Check that the CUPS server is correctly installed and running. Error: localhost: read failed (15). and if I print from Thunderbird or Firefox I success and print OK. I was Googling and read that other people have the same error and suppose it's a Debian bug because of the upgrade...some people suggest to downgrade to an older version of cupsys. Do you know something about it ??? Thanks a lot, Alejandro dwelch91 wrote: > Two problems: > > 1. foomatic-rip appears to be missing. Install with: > > $ sudo apt-get install foomatic-filters > > 2.
