I have HPLIP successfully installed on my Slackware 11 system, it immediately found and recognised my HP 7310 Officejet and that appears in both CUPS and hp-toolbox.
However I can't at present get my Laserjet 1320 to appear in the toolbox though it installs OK in CUPS.
