Too late :-)  I had just removed it.  It's currently re-running the .run 
install, since that seemed OK, according to the hp-check.

I'm going to do a re-boot. as re-starting the printer hasn't brought up the 
UI.  I'll check then whether hpiod is running.  chkconfig doesn't show it as 
a controlled process.

OK - is it safe to leave the one used by the remote box, or will that not be 
needed once we have this right?
