While Loic offered lots of the improvements and bug-fixes to the Sleepycat folks, I don't think they took any. In particular, they felt the database compression feature didn't make sense because disk space is cheap.


In any case, the core Berkeley DB code gets hammered pretty hard since it's used in lots of places.
