I got a similar effect back in Nov under Solaris 2.7 (gcc 2.95.2) with
htdig 3.2.0b2 - when I run htsearch, I got "Arithmetic Exception (core dumped)"
I had installed zlib (etc) though.
I'd already built the same htdig on my Linux box at home (www.bluehaze.com.au)
because I particularly wanted phrase searching there, and it worked fine. But
here at work (on Solaris), I had to be content with htdig 3.1.5 :-(
I meant to query this list at the time but ran out of time. I even started
looking into the source as well and actually found the (only) floating point
bit of code but at that point got dragged off onto another job.
