I was looking for info on changing/adding attributes. Obviously attrs.html
lists every attribute available with full details on each.
No worries, though. I did locate the information on
http://www.htdig.org/confindex.html. I would have added a link from
attrs.html to confindex.html (ex: click 'here' for instructions on how add
attributes to the htdig.conf file) if it were my site, but at least the info
is there to be found.

There is no mechanism to index only words of a given length. You could set
minimum_word_length to 4 and index only words and numbers of four or more
characters.
