Good point, but the attrs.html page still includes an example showing
how to set each and every attribute it documents, so it's pretty clear
from reading this document alone what you need to add to your config file
to set an attribute. The documentation is littered with references to
the config files, and the sample htdig.conf also give the URL for the
confindex.html page, as well as stating "that most attributes have very
reasonable default values so you really only have to add attributes
here if you want to change the defaults." The htdig.conf file is
the only configuration file that gets installed when you do the "make
install", so there isn't much confusion as to what your config file is.
The documentation can't tell you where you'll find this file installed,
because that's an option that's set when you configure the source package
before compiling and installing.
Also, when you've exhausted all other resources, there's always the FAQ! :)
