Thiry-five *what*? When you say it "fails," what do you mean?

No. But you'll need enough RAM and/or disk space to do it. Not long 
after writing the "multidig" scripts for a client, I set them up for 
the same people to index some 50 collections of sites (states in 
their case) and merging them together and into different combinations 
(regions, alphabetical, etc.).
