Hi all,
I am really sorry for the following questions that should appear very stupid
for more advanced users but I am unable to compile htdig.
I have typed the command ./configure and all is OK. But, I have tried a lot of
times and when typing %make, the compile is not complete and the response is
always"cannot open CONFIG"
I think it's a problem of the CONFIG file.
How have I to edit the file CONFIG ? With telnet or modifying the file locally
before transferring it (after ./configure I suppose)
Is the file CONFIG.in or the file CONFIG that appear after the command
./configure that should be edited ? (the very first line of CONFIG is the good
path to shell, #! usr/bin/sh )
Do I have to put all the support for the directories or only --prefix= and
--exec-prefix= ?
How should the root of the directory be specified ?
"--prefix=/web/home/users/myself" for example ?
A show of a valid CONFIG file will greatly help me.
I don't know what to do!
Thank you very much for your help! It will be greatly appreciated!
