If the site is organized in this fashion, the easiest way to restrict the
search is with the "restrict" field, which limits the URL of results to
match the pattern provided.
So <input ... name="restrict" content="http://www.foo.com/politics/" ...>
would restrict to Politics or any subcategories.
However, as I understood it, the original question implied that the URL
organization was arbitrary. In this case, it's much more complicated.
