I found mnoGoSearch at gnu.org, but the link to the mnoGoSearch home page
wasn't working, so I moved on.  I'm looking at ASPSeek right now.

By the way, if the same thing ("hanging") happens with some other product, I
won't be surprised either.  But I would be puzzled.  I guess I'm looking for
a search engine that will remember the URL so it can try it later.

You could try "mnoGoSearch" - that would be htDig's nearest "competitor"
