Steer clear of Harvest, it is overblown, under documented, and riddled with
bugs.

SWISH is OK, we provide it as an alternative to ht://Dig, but we only use it
to index local pages, not web sites.

Before dropping ht://Dig, which is an excellent product, try using it in
conjuction with a proxy server if you can,
it just might make all the difference with awkward remote servers.  See the
http_proxy attribute in the config. file.
