Well, I'm all for saving work, so there's not a lot of point in doing
something you're planning to undo later. However, if that "later" is
much later, you have to decide whether working on interim documentation
is more or less bother than fielding all the questions that arise due
to lack of documentation. I think just making Rajendra's sample config
files available somewhere would be a big help.
