hello all.

i am attempting to get htdig to work on a windows 2000
server with iis 5. i followed the dummies guide for
getting htdig to work with win32 (linked to via the
htdig faq). my progress is as follows:

htdig, htmerge, htsearch ... all compiled fine using
cygwin.

htdig runs fine.
htmerge runs fine.
htsearch will run, *but* only from a command line
prompt.

when i attempt to run htsearch as a cgi executable
from the client browser i get the following error:

ht://Dig error
htsearch detected an error. Please report this to the
webmaster of this site. The error message is:

Unable to read configuration file
'c:/htdig/conf/htdig.conf'

the file is *definately* in the location specified,
and to my knowledge, the access rights are correctly
specified. i have found only one reference to this in
the list archives and the reply in that instance was
to use a perl wrapper to call the exe file, specifing
the location of the config file again (using htsearch
-c). so i tried this, and got the same error from the
client.

help! and thanks in advance.

dave gardner.
