Problem:
I have been searching the htdig.org site for the possibility of using htdig
on a Windows NT Server because I'm moving a large web site that currently uses
htdig from Unix to Windows. While I've seen various references to the
possibilities of using a Windows machine, I have seen no definitive answer.
I have seen where various users appear to have had lots of problems trying to
convert to a Windows server and have also read about the possibility of an
upgrade to Java-based htdig version which should solve the problem.
So I guess my questions are these: Has anyone successfully switched htdig to
a windows server? How difficult was it? Also, would you recommend trying
windows now or should I wait until the java version of htdig is available?
Which leads me to my final question, what is the time table for the java
version becoming available for use?
Thanks for your help,
Jami Ryan
