Your other option is to build your ht://Dig version against the system's
installed db3 libraries. This will probably require fixing a few small
changes in the API. (In short, you may need to change htlib/DB2_db*
slightly.)
You'll obviously need to hack the Makefiles after configure as well since
you don't want to compile the db/ directory and you'll want to remove it
from the -I and -L flags passed when compiling the ht://Dig code.
