In our environment for testing purposes
we set up a web server with the document root of /home/htdig-test and the script alias of /home/htdig-test/cgi-bin We then build htdig with --prefix=/home/htdig-test It would be nice if this scenario worked without any changes to the installed files. -----Original Message----- From: Geoff Hutchison [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, October 25, 2001 4:28 AM To: Gilles Detillieux Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [htdig] image-url-prefix At 4:26 PM -0500 10/24/01, Gilles Detillieux wrote: > > last time i installed htdig i used --with-image-url-prefix=images and all >> worked fine ... > >I find that surprising. Unless you put your images subdirectory in the >same directory as the htsearch binary, relative URLs like this won't work. And furthermore, if your htsearch binary is in cgi-bin, then the server will often have problems fetching images from that directory. Again, I'll echo what Gilles said--this has never been a bug, only an issue of misconfiguration. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the configuration process, they'd be appreciated. -- -- -Geoff Hutchison Williams Students Online http://wso.williams.edu/ _______________________________________________ htdig-general mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, send a message to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with a subject of unsubscribe FAQ: http://htdig.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html _______________________________________________ htdig-general mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, send a message to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with a subject of unsubscribe FAQ: http://htdig.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html
