Yes it should be optional. When I have menu in the top of page and the alt's are: 'home', 'site one', 'site two'
htdig takes it like text and when I scan sites for 'site one' htdig shows me all sites where is top menu and shows me: home site one site two. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > I am rather surprised at the number of objections I've seen to this > behaviour in htdig, added back in 3.1.4.
