OK, I've tried both htdig 3.1.6 on Red Hat 4.2, and 3.2.0b4 on Red Hat 6.2, and neither one hangs on http://www.aicha.com/lacollec/c/montres_010430_2.htm so I'm assuming it's specific to your system. I did try changing the setting of max_doc_size, as the file is over 500K, but that didn't make a difference either way as far as htdig hanging. I didn't try indexing the whole www.aicha.com site, though, just the one URL above - that may make a difference if the problem isn't related specifically to the file itself, but to some sort of cumulative problem such as a memory leak.
