Also, if you want the 3.1.6 stable release, you can use the RPMs in
http://www.htdig.org/files/binaries/ instead of Red Hat's RPMs.  You'll
have to remove the Red Hat htdig and htdig-web packages before installing
the htdig316 packages, though, as the two cannot peacefully co-exist
given the overlapping directories with which they were configured.

You can use Red Hat's RPMs if you want, but they're based on a
year-old 3.2 snapshot, so they're missing a lot of recent bug fixes
and enhancements.  Red Hat also introduced some configuration problems
in their RPM which have caused some users grief.

As for the htfuzzy segfaults, you should remove any existing db.soundex.db
or db.metaphone.db before running htfuzzy.  You don't normally need to
do this, but there are problems when you switch between 3.2 and 3.1.6
versions, which can be avoided if you remove one version's databases
before going to another version.
