Based on Harry reply I hoped over the the preferences and opened up Align Image Stack Linear and lo and behold there is a plethora of choices about panorama types, one and two step detectors, detectors for stacks, and even advance options that limit the control point search to images that don't already have control points between them. Some of the above is self evident and some is not. Could someone out there explain what these things mean and comment on the use of the new and improved preference pane for setting up control point detectotrs? Thanks Battle
