I'm trying to create a 480 x 21MP Panorama (4 rows). I switched off RANSAC outlier detection and had to use the --maxmatches %p %o %s command line variant for autopano-sift-c because the command line can't take 480 shots. It detected control points fine (55'035) and now "hangs" for 30 straight CPU-hours at "Determining placement of the images". No disk IO taking place. (i7 620M at boosting 3.33 GHz). Question: is there a chance that it will complete yet? Background: It's a difficult case: I'm a newbie and I made a few mistakes when taking the pics. It's +/-2 steps bracketed, but I shot it on Av. What's worse: because I ran out of card space, I had to take the bottom row without bracketing (not a problem in terms of "pixel information" as there is little dynamic range at the bottom, but I guess it's a tough nut for any software). Given the flawed input I was surprised how well hugin handled several sub-sectors of the panorama, mixing bracketed and non-bracketed autoexposed shots. A 15 shot sector with quite a high dynamic range was aligned and rendered without problems and in reasonable time. With an excellent resulting image quality! But now I'm stuck.
