The results seem to be similar to what one would if he tried building rpms using cpio instead of rpm. The breakage that actually seems to cause pain is that package dependencies are incorrect or missing. (Even using alien to convert the rpm would give better results in this respect). One of or probably the strongest point of Debian is that we have a policy that describes in great detail how packages must look like to make it possible that the packages work together and upgrade correctly. cmake built packages seem to ignore many parts of it. cu andreas -- `What a good friend you are to him, Dr. Maturin.
