That's how I aligned my images for my high altitude video project. http://robotrising.org/2013/01/operation-stratosphere-conclusion/
There might be some useful info in my image processing paragraphs there. I created a pto with my images and ran through cpfind with --linearmatch "This will only detect matches between adjacent images, e.g. for the 5 image example it will matches images pairs 0-1, 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4. The matching distance can be increased with the switch --linearmatchlen. E.g. with --linearmatchlen 2 *cpfind* will match a image with the next image and the image after next, in our example it would be 0-1, 0-2, 1-2, 1-3, 2-3, 2-4 and 3-4." I was then able to very satisfactorily remove the rotation of the platform. It can't hurt to try, anyway. :) Caleb On Tue, Feb 19, 2013 at 6:15 AM, adrian platts <[email protected]>wrote: > Hi All, > > I've long used Hugin for creating panoramas but wondered if someone could > offer advice for a slightly different scenario. > > I work in a university science department where we take multiple images of > plants as they grow.
