1) align_image_stack - a command line tool that comes with hugin. It will
generate aligned images from your original ones. But I think that,
depending on your situation it won't work, as it will only change positions
(I guess). It is indeed the simplest try.
align_image_stack does all alignments hugin can do plus the newest
version also does mosaic mode (camera position):
