Don't get two things mixed up: First, there's hugin, the software
package. This is - quite deliberately - an effort separate from hugin,
the program, and could just suck in lux as it is; it's just a matter
of adding it to the set of binaries in the package/bundle. Packagers
have not yet come forward, but I hope the recent move to CMake will help.
lux (and multiblend) _could_ be included in the Hugin Windows/OSX
installers, as could the old panoglview viewer for that matter, if
somebody wants to step up and do the work, but as long as they are
separate codebases it will only ever be a separate package for Linux.
Fine, We'll try and make it as accessible and simple to pull in as we
can, and the packagers can decide if they want it in the bundle.
There is a fedora lux RPM package here:

Nice one! Hopefully some fedora user will try it! When it comes to
stitching, there was a stupid bug which I only fixed very recently. May
be best to rebuild the package...
The CRLF bug you posted to the issue tracker is also fixed.
..also multiblend 2.0, plus a recent Hugin snapshot which has a nice
builtin panorama viewer and zooming in the preview window.
A nice built-in panorama viewer! I'll check that out. The zooming in
preview mode I already saw, and I found it felt a bit rough-and-ready -
maybe it's improved since then. Will have to build from source, though,
because I'm on ubuntu.
