It is a simple matter to demonstrate that an interaction takes place between the atmosphere and the power supply system. You will need an AC digital voltmeter, preferably one in the milli- volt range, An earth rod, a roll of bell wire, a long length of wooden baton, a small piece of hardboard, foam rubber and kitchen foil. Most important you will need a WALL, this can be a wall of a building or an isolated wall, the higher and longer the wall the higher the readings that can be obtained. If you can take your readings at the approach of a weather front some really spectacular results can be obtained. AC digital volt meters and earth rods can be obtained at any DIY store at a very modest price.
