Everywhere is different in terms of what could be the problem. I recently put this link on Facebook for a petition [UK] against the area monitors similar to your mention. http://www.smartmeterpetition.org/health Fibre optics have screening, in fact their long transmission depends on low loss and regular amplification- but local microwave hubs are a different matter and from the videos shown,can be heard to be radically different to hum as normally reported.
