I have been doing much research on obtaining relief from this damn noise and to my dismay, it seems as though I may be stuck with it in my head forever!?!?!?!?!
In the past week I visited three separate locations (homes) in two neighbouring cities, still within metropolitan Toronto though, and in each location I heard the hum. I considered moving a viable escape but now I'm not so sure. I contacted my MPP and was pleasantly surprised that her office called me back today and although there is nothing they can/will do at this point, she told me that one other person in my area has contacted them with the same complaint. I gave her permission to give my contact info to them. Yippee, I'm just happy to have another sufferer so close by (as sad as that might be). One of the most disturbing findings is that this issue is so very old (okay, 40ish years) and I have found nothing positive from anyone/ anywhere. In fact, before November 9th I never even knew this issue existed......so this leaves me with precious little hope. My next question...........has anyone considered an inner ear ectomy???? I really DO NOT know how some of these people have coped for as long as they have.
