Hi Irene, That's interesting; thank you for sharing this! The Hum is really annoying me at night at the moment....I am not 100% sure but I think I just have very sensitive hearing & am hearing the hum from the power lines (high voltage, town to town ones) that are about 3 kilometres up the road. It is loud when you walk underneath them so I need to try to do a bit of self-investigation at night when the air is still & The Hum is loud. But....why can't everyone hear it if that is what it is...it's loud & obvious to me?
Vic (thank you!) has mentioned it should be wiring in my house.....but this is a rural area with local lines & our home wiring > 30 years old. But the larger non-local lines sound plausible....
