This body of work supports recent contention. by Scouser99. that IMF is involved with Hum, quite intimately. This I can rationalise readily, but am unsure as to what 'Electro-acoustic' mechanism is at work here. Thw only ready candidate would be 'Microwave hearing' as that can be posited as being directly picked up in the brain- but the very much lower Hum frequencies would not use this same pathway. Further, the time constant of IMF shielding by the earth magnetosphere is an order of magnitude below 50 Hz from representations I have seen from space over views of the planet and the effects of solar winds. This would smooth out direct transmission of hum from a solar source- though could cause modulations in any background fields, especially as to threshold levels of detection by the human ear or brain, should there be a mechanism to explain it.
