If you do not hear the Hum yourself you will be unable to determine
locations where the Hum is present or to gauge the effects of various
types of buildings. The field I referred to is called Netham playing
field which was once used for burning lime. Some time ago the late Bob
Lewis plotted a map of Hum sufferers using responses from the Bristol
Evening Post, BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Points West. Most plots were
in the Clifton area, very few from the central and low lying areas.
