There is a new owner of the chateau who is going to turn it into a luxury hotel. The rumour at this year's festival, now confirmed, was that this would be the last festival at St Chartier because the new chateau owner would not allow use of the chateau grounds. Yet to be confirmed, but it is likely that the festival will be held at the Chateau d'Ars which is close to La Chartre.
