Newbie to newbie. Don't bite off more than you can chew. I now play a 5-string
beginer instrument and it is quite sufficient for now. You have to learn how to
tune your tangents and replace cotton. Not an easy task at first. If you are
trying to do this on 3 chanters and 3 drones and 2 trompetts you will quickly
be overwhelmed. These instruments are very difficult to get along with at times
so keep it simple. As for Neil Brook, I would recommend the Artist model. A
nice 6 string electro acoustic model that is quite loud unplugged. I had the
privilege of playing one when Neil visited the States and I loved it. Don't let
price dictate your decision, let the maker's reputation make it instead. Good
luck and order soon.
