> Are you actually building another one? Hi David,
Yes, I am building another one, but not from scratch this time, as I do not have a fancy woodshop nor all the expertise to go with one. I have a Hurdy Gurdy Crafters kit, because I wanted all the difficult/critical stuff pre-made. I couldn't afford a nice, ready-to-play gurdy, nor did I want to bother buying another "toy," having been that route already with my home-made one. You can see how it is coming along on my "Hurdy-Gurdy Odyssey" blog: http://harvey-house.info/blog-hg/ I'm doing a bunch of extra decoration. That way, if I never learn to play it decently, it will at least look impressive! ;o) But I know even with my lack of musical skill, it will play WAY better than the one I made from scratch. > I have an old lute body which I am thinking of matching with one of >HurdyGurdyCrafters' kits, and see if I end up with a "real" lute-back HG. I'd like to hear how that goes for you! Are you actually building another one? I have an old lute body which I am thinking of matching with one of HurdyGurdyCrafters' kits, and see if I end up with a "real" lute-back HG. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hurdygurdy" group.
