A bit expensive for the week, and not strictly focused on the gurdy, but there is a hard-core French trad contingent in "Camp 2 French Camp" where central France trad is going on in one form or another most of the day every day. Our own Penny Cloud (of this list) teaches French trad repertoire 2 hours a day, and probably could be persuaded to give some personal gurdy instruction on the side, which would be very worthwhile, as she is a fine player and teacher. And it's a nice scene...French trad session every afternoon under the redwoods for 2-3 hours with wine and cheeses and gurdies and bagpipes and diatonics, including a handful of very experienced players. Just another option to consider. It's a shame Lark doesn't happen closer to Chants des Vielles, or you could combine them on one trip.
