We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of the Red Hat
Certification Hardware Test Suite packages
redhat-certification-1.0-20150520.el7.noarch,
redhat-certification-hardware-1.7.1-20150304.el7, and
redhat-certification-information-1.7.1-20150304.el7 for certification
purposes with GA releases of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x.
This Red Hat Certification Hardware Test Suite package update *is* an
official release and introduces the next generation of test suite for
Red Hat Enterprise Linux certification. This test suite release can be
be used for new Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x hardware certification
submissions.
Both the new generation (redhat-certification-hardware) and previous
generation test suites (hwcert-client) may be used during official Red
Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x certifications.
The Red Hat Certification Hardware Test Suite contains a new user
interface framework and testing flow with the previous tests ported to
work within this new framework and testing flow. The framework inverts
the previous experience, where testing is now initiated from the
certification server instead of initiating testing from the system under
test. This is accomplished via a web interface on the certification
server where certifications are entered, systems and tests selected, and
then executed. This new flow allows a focal point for initiating testing
across a series of systems and certifications as well as submitting
results.
An updated user guide for the new test suite will be available shortly
on the Red Hat Customer Portal. A separate announcement will be sent
when it is published. Until the guide is available at the official

The new Red Hat Certification Hardware Test Suite packages
(redhat-certification, redhat-certification-hardware, and
redhat-certification-information) are available only via the Red Hat
Customer Portal at the following location:

The new redhat-certification-hardware test suite package requires the
use of the same “dt”, “lmbench”, and “stress” packages available from
the previous hwcert-client channels in RHN. Details about acquiring
