I don't know man, but 16 channels is a lot.  I haven't used more than 12 - 
but I guess if you do...  One thing that I do (rather than trying to program 
the drums into the RM1X, is just write some beats on my ER-1, and mute at the 
mixer accordingly.  Saves you some channels there.  Also, I have sampled my 
drum loops (I write them myself) into my ESI4000.  Hell, with a sampler 
(especially one as capable as your A3000), you should haven't any channel 
problems.  I guess if you are looking to use 64, that won't work, but if you 
need 18 or 20, that could do the job quite nicely.  Just a thought...
