Hi Richard, all, Small introduction first since I am dropping into the middle of this thread.
I too would like to see this port going forward and am prepared to spend some time working on it. However, I don't have a lot of spare time to contribute and zero experience with OE so don't expect much for me. I have, and also my image and your "known to work" ;).None of them work for me (hx2490). What is Haret's progress bar completing, penguin eyes going bloody red and that's it - at that point it is stuck there and reset is necessary. By googling&rest it seems that the problem might be in haret though. I am currently trying to consolidate all the dislocated information I found about it. Good news are that I managed to build the whole Angstrom 2007.1 with gpe-image target. Opie was my first choice but that didn't quite work so I'll ask about problems there and other stuff I have on oe-users or angstrom-users though. > To use these images I recommend finding an SD card and partitioning it > into two partitions, the first FAT, the second ext2. While waiting for a new SD card to arrive so I can try that - was I right to assume kernel would boot and show at least something regardless of the fact that I didn't have rootfs ready? If it only was intuitive ;) But as you said above, it a pretty steep learning curve.
