It sounds like a haret problem. There are lots of haret binaries out
there so perhaps try some of the others... I wish there was one known
good one. The other issue could have been a lack of the right settings
for the machine, particularly setting the machine number. Did you
include the default.txt file I linked to?

Correct, you should see a kernel scroll by, then an init failure.

Not brilliant, I doubt you'd see any problems for a few years. Given the
price of SD cards now, I'm not worrying about it ;-).
